USB modems solve connectivity elegantly and mounting badly: out of the box, the only thing holding the modem is the USB connector itself, which was never designed as a structural member. Inseego's ACC-00003 is the fix: a metal bracket that mounts the Skyus modem to the chassis and takes the mechanical load off the electronics. Metal construction handles vehicle vibration profiles, and fixed mounting also disciplines the USB cable route - strain-relieved, dressed, and identical across the fleet. Every modem sits in the same place, every cable dresses the same way, and every service visit finds the hardware where the documentation says it is. Intermittent-USB gremlins - the most expensive small fault in mobile deployments - largely disappear when the modem stops moving.
