About This Device
This is the module the AER2200's expansion bay was waiting for: the BA-MC400-5GB brings 5G to Cradlepoint's branch platform as a slot-in MC400 upgrade, packaged with the AER2200 doors and the four antennas a 5G modem's antenna plan requires. It takes a standard 4FF SIM and drops into the modular bay, upgrading the router's WAN to 5G - as a faster primary, or as a second modem beside the built-in LTE for dual-technology failover. The configuration, the LAN, and the NetCloud management all carry forward untouched, which is precisely the economics the modular architecture promised at purchase time.
Dual-technology WAN - 5G plus LTE in one chassis - hedges carrier rollouts elegantly: the branch uses whichever radio the local coverage actually rewards.
Power down, slot the MC400 into the AER2200 bay, fit the doors and all four antennas, insert the 4FF SIM, and bring the modem up in NetCloud. Verify 5G registration and set WAN priority policy before closing the visit.
Cloud Care Networks stocks the Cradlepoint BA-MC400-5GB alongside the gateways and routers it supports, so IT and field-service teams can consolidate antennas, spares, and replacement hardware on a single order.
