About This Device
The Panorama C23F-6 is a 6 m (19.7 ft) length of CS23 coaxial cable with an FME connector factory-fitted to one end and the other end left unterminated. CS23 is Panorama's double-shielded 5 mm coaxial cable and a low-loss alternative to standard RG58/AU. The double screen keeps ignition noise and adjacent-cable interference out of the antenna feed, while the flexible jacket takes the tight bends of dashboards, equipment cabinets, and cable trays without kinking. The FME termination matches the standard comms and antenna ports used across Panorama's antenna range, while the slim connector body routes easily through grommets and conduit. The second end ships unterminated, so an installer can pull the cable through tight apertures first and then crimp exactly the connector the job calls for. As with any coax, plan the shortest run that reaches: extra length adds loss you cannot get back. Route the cable away from high-current wiring where practical, avoid tight kinks at the connector boots, and leave a small service loop at the equipment end. Panorama Antennas has designed and manufactured antenna systems and RF cable assemblies since 1947, and every CS23 assembly ships with its connectors fitted and tested before it leaves the factory - eliminating the most common failure point in field-built coax.
