About This Device
Part number C23T-1PLP from Panorama Antennas is a ready-made 1 m (3.28 ft) CS23 coax assembly with a TNC male termination on one end and a PL-259 (UHF) male on the other. Panorama builds this assembly on CS23, its 5 mm double-shielded coaxial cable that outperforms generic RG58/AU on loss and screening. It stays flexible enough for tight dashboard and cabinet routing while the twin shields hold interference out of the feed line. The TNC male end threads onto TNC female ports used on GPS timing receivers, telemetry radios, and many fixed antennas, and the screw coupling stays put under vibration. The PL-259 (UHF) male end screws onto the SO-239 sockets used on CB, amateur, and land-mobile radios. For best results, treat the feed line as part of the antenna system. Use the shortest practical length, respect the bend radius at each connector, and secure the run so vibration cannot work the couplings loose over time. Panorama Antennas has designed and manufactured antenna systems and RF cable assemblies since 1947, and every CS23 assembly ships with its connectors fitted and tested before it leaves the factory - eliminating the most common failure point in field-built coax.
