About This Device

Many antennas ship with short leads terminated in the compact FME interface so the cable can be pulled through tight penetrations during installation. The Panorama C74-FP-5-SMAP finishes the job: 5 m (16.4 ft) of RG174 coax that mates that FME female lead on one end and presents an SMA male plug - the interface cellular routers expose - on the other. RG174 is the slim, flexible 50-ohm coax of the antenna world: roughly 2.8 mm in diameter, it bends around tight radii and pulls through grommets, door seals, and cable channels that thicker feed line cannot negotiate. The trade-off is higher attenuation per meter, which is why RG174 leads are kept short and used where routability matters more than every last dB. At 5 m, this lead covers window-to-desk and cross-cabinet distances; keep an eye on the link budget, because thin cable pays more loss per meter than feed-line classes. Thread the FME ends together finger-tight, thread the SMA male onto the router's SMA female antenna port, and the path is complete - no tools, no configuration. Factory-molded terminations remove the field-crimping variability that causes intermittent antenna faults, which matters when the lead is dressed behind panels or inside enclosures. Cloud Care Networks carries the C74-FP-5-SMAP alongside the FME-terminated antennas and cellular routers it links, so installers can consolidate antennas, leads, and adapters on one order and keep spares in the service kit.
