About This Device
Mobile hotspots and USB modems rarely have room for a proper antenna connector, so manufacturers fit TS9 - a push-in port a few millimeters across. The Panorama C74-SJ-010-TS9S turns that port into something useful: 100 mm of RG174 with a TS9 male plug for the device and an SMA female jack that accepts the SMA male lead fitted to most external cellular antennas.
The short pigtail format is deliberate. TS9 ports are mechanically delicate, and hanging an antenna or a stiff cable directly off one is how ports break; the flexible 100 mm lead decouples that strain, letting the antenna cable be dressed and secured independently while the TS9 end floats unstressed. Panorama lists compatibility across common TS9 devices including Netgear AirCard, ZTE MF-series, Huawei, and Novatel Wireless hotspots and modems.
Signal-wise the lead is transparent - at 100 mm, RG174's per-meter loss is irrelevant. What it buys is compatibility: window-mounted MIMO antennas, roof pucks, and desktop paddle antennas all standardize on SMA, and this adapter lets TS9 devices join that ecosystem. For MIMO hotspots with two TS9 ports, use one pigtail per port.
Cloud Care Networks carries the C74-SJ-010-TS9S alongside the hotspot antennas it connects, so remote workers and field kits can get the whole signal-improvement package in one order.
