About This Device
Connector mismatches are among the most common snags in antenna work: the cable ends in one connector family and the equipment expects another. The Panorama CA-PLP-FP resolves that in a single machined piece, presenting a PL259 (UHF) male on one side and a FME male on the other.
The FME male side threads onto the FME female lead fitted to many mobile antennas; the PL259 (UHF plug) side threads into the SO-239 socket standard on CB radios, amateur transceivers, and marine sets. Panorama Antennas has manufactured antennas and RF accessories since 1947, and its adapters are machined and checked to the same specification as its antenna lines - worth having when the adapter is the one passive part the whole signal path runs through.
Typical applications include running a modern FME-leaded antenna into a CB or amateur mobile transceiver, and keeping marine and off-road radio installs supplied with a clean one-piece transition. Because the adapter is a passive mechanical transition there is nothing to configure - thread it on finger-tight plus a light wrench snug and the path is complete. Each unit ships individually, so service kits can carry the transitions technicians actually meet in the field.
Cloud Care Networks stocks Panorama's adapter range alongside the antennas, cables, and routers they join, so field-service teams can keep the right transitions in the kit and solve connector mismatches on the first visit instead of the second.
