About This Device
Permanent antenna mounting is the right call for owned fleet vehicles, but plenty of deployments cannot drill: leased and rental vehicles, short-term projects, proof-of-concept trials, and pool cars that rotate between duties. The Panorama ER-225MMMAGW closes that gap by converting a Panorama round dome antenna to a magnetic installation. The dome mounts to the adaptor, and the magnetic base grips a ferrous steel roof or panel — no holes, no sealant, no bodywork sign-off.
Magnetic mounting also changes the economics of evaluation. Before committing a fleet to permanent dome installations, an integrator can trial the antenna system on a few vehicles, verify cellular and GNSS performance on real routes, then move the same hardware to the next test vehicle. When a permanent decision is made, the dome transfers to a bolt-through installation and the adaptor returns to the kit.
As with any magnetic mount, best practice applies: place the adaptor on clean, flat, bare-painted steel; avoid aluminum panels, which are non-ferrous; route the cable through a door or window seal with appropriate protection; and remove the mount before automated car washes. The adaptor is specific to Panorama's round dome format — long dome and sharkfin housings use their own adaptor plates (ER-344MMME and ER-350MMRE respectively). Shipping weight is approximately 3 lb, part number ER-225MMMAGW.
