About This Device
Sharkfin antennas earn their place on fleet vehicles by looking like factory equipment while housing cellular, GNSS, and Wi-Fi elements. Normally that discreet profile comes with a permanent bolt-through installation. The Panorama ER-350MMRE changes the equation: it is a magnetic mount adaptor shaped for Panorama's sharkfin housings, letting the antenna sit on a magnetic base instead of through-bolted hardware.
With the adaptor, the sharkfin becomes portable infrastructure. Connectivity trials can run on real vehicles over real routes before anyone signs off on drilling a fleet. Unmarked and administrative vehicles keep a clean, factory-style appearance with hardware that can be removed the same day. Leased units go back to the lessor with an untouched roof. And a single antenna kit can rotate across pool vehicles as assignments demand, rather than buying and installing one per vehicle.
Installation follows standard magnetic-mount practice: the roof must be ferrous steel (test with a small magnet — aluminum and composite panels will not work), both mating surfaces should be clean and dry, cables route through a door or trunk seal with edge protection, and the assembly comes off before automated car washes. The ER-350MMRE is specific to the sharkfin format; Panorama's round dome and long dome housings use the ER-225MMMAGW and ER-344MMME adaptors respectively. Shipping weight is approximately 3 lb, Panorama part number ER-350MMRE.
