About This Device
The GPSBAX2 extends Panorama's proven GPSB heavy-duty sharkfin platform for installs where the priority is land-mobile radio. Instead of forcing separate mounts for the radio whip, the GPS antenna, and Wi-Fi, the GPSBAX2 puts an active multi-band GPS/GNSS module and dual-band WLAN elements inside the fin and dedicates a reinforced auxiliary stud to the whip - so P25 and conventional LMR voice, positioning, and wireless data all enter the vehicle through one hole.
The stud accepts a range of VHF, UHF, and combination whips, including the triband VHF/UHF/700-800 MHz whips used in Panorama's GPSBAX2-TRI kits for Motorola APX-class installations. Because the whip is a separate, field-replaceable element, agencies can re-band or upgrade radios without touching the roof fixing or the GNSS/Wi-Fi systems.
Like every GPSB-family antenna, the GPSBAX2 uses a hard-service OEM-style housing with a single-hole fixing that reduces vehicle damage, install labor, and visual signature. It is the natural base for police, fire, EMS, and utility vehicles that pair Motorola or Kenwood-class mobile radios with GPS AVL and in-vehicle Wi-Fi. Cloud Care Networks stocks the matching whips, QMA cable kits, and extension runs to complete the installation.
