About This Device

The Panorama GPSP series is the fixed-installation counterpart to magnetic and adhesive GPS mounts: a compact active GPS antenna in a robust housing that installs through a single panel hole and stays put for the life of the vehicle or enclosure. The GPSP-6SP is supplied as a plug kit with a 6 m cable and SMA plug, ready to route to the receiver. Once torqued down against its seal, the antenna is weatherproof and effectively theft-resistant. The amplified GPS element compensates for cable loss, delivering a clean signal to receivers that supply antenna bias voltage — which includes virtually every telematics unit, GPS-capable cellular router, and timing receiver on the market. Through-hole mounting also gives the element a stable, horizontal orientation and, on metal panels, a proper ground plane, both of which help fix quality compared with casually placed antennas. Because the GPSP-6SP is a standard passive-coax install, deployment is simple: route the cable, connect it to the receiver's antenna input, and confirm fix quality in the device's GPS diagnostics.
