About This Device
Panorama's GPSD dome and SHKG sharkfin antennas are permanent roof-mount housings used across fleet, public-safety, and telematics installations. Their bolt-through installations rely on sealing and fixing components that compress once and conform to the roof they were installed on. When the antenna comes off — because the vehicle is being replaced, the roof needs repair, or the antenna needs to move — that original hardware is spent, and remounting with it invites leaks and a loose fit.
The KRV401 reinstall kit provides the fresh installation components for both the GPSD and SHKG housing families. With new hardware in place, a transferred antenna reinstalls with the same watertight seal and clamping security as a factory-fresh unit. The kit weighs about 0.05 lb and ships individually under UPC 5055416023049, making it easy to add to any work order that involves antenna removal.
The economics are straightforward: multi-band dome and sharkfin antennas routinely outlast the vehicles under them, and moving a working antenna to the next vehicle costs a small fraction of buying new. The reinstall kit is the piece that makes that reuse safe. Fleet service teams typically stock several alongside their antenna spares, matched by housing family — KRV400 covers the LGMM low-profile MIMO series, KRV403 the GPSD4-6-60 series, and KRV406 the Great White series.
