About This Device
Panorama's threaded roof-mount antennas ship with M18x1 mounting hardware sized for typical vehicle roof skins. Put the same antenna on a reinforced roof section, a composite or insulated panel, an equipment cabinet top, or a roof rack channel plate, and the stock stud runs out of thread before the nut ever bites. The M18-EXT-SLT is the fitment kit for exactly that situation: it adapts the M18x1 mount to a larger M24x2 thread format with the reach to clamp thick panels properly.
The slotted design is the detail installers appreciate. Multi-feed antennas put several coax leads through the mounting hole, and a plain extension bush can pinch or block them. The slot in the M18-EXT-SLT preserves a clear routing path for the cable loom while the adaptor carries the mechanical load, so the cables exit cleanly without chafing against threads.
In practice the kit turns one antenna SKU into a fits-almost-anywhere part. Fleet upfitters standardizing on a Panorama antenna across vans, trucks with roof reinforcements, and fixed cabinets can carry the M18-EXT-SLT (and its extra-long sibling, the M18-EXT-XL) instead of maintaining special antenna variants per surface. The kit weighs 0.25 lb, ships individually under UPC 5055416069757, and carries Panorama part number M18-EXT-SLT. For ribbed or curved roofs on the LGMM/LPMM series specifically, see the LGMM-EXT-R-SLT foam-pad adaptor kit instead.
