Every threaded antenna mount has a maximum panel thickness, and real installations exceed it more often than spec sheets admit: refrigerated van roofs with thick insulation, double-skinned composite panels, cabinet tops with internal bracing, and mounting pads built up with adaptor plates and gaskets.
