Cradlepoint MC20-GPO GPIO Expansion Module for S400 and S450 Routers

The Cradlepoint MC20-GPO brings general-purpose input/output capability to the S400 and S450 IoT router platform. The module occupies the router's MC20 expansion slot and terminates GPIO wiring on a high-density 2x10 (20-position) connector, giving integrators a compact way to land many signal lines without an external I/O gateway. GPIO is the bridge between network and machinery. Inputs typically monitor door contacts on remote cabinets, tamper switches, float or pressure switches, generator run status, and alarm outputs from third-party controllers. Outputs drive relays, indicator lamps, or reset lines. With the MC20-GPO installed, those signals terminate directly on the cellular router that is already onsite, and state changes can be surfaced through the router's NetCloud management—so a cabinet-door alarm at an unmanned site becomes a network event rather than a surprise discovered on the next truck roll. Because the I/O lives in the router, the design eliminates a separate I/O device, its power supply, and its management overhead—meaningful savings in enclosures where space and DC budget are tight. The module weighs roughly 0.15 lb and swaps in the field, joining the MC20-ETH dual Ethernet module and MC20-SRL serial module as the third member of the MC20 family.
