About This Device
The Panorama SR7-217 adhesive pad is the surface-mount option for Panorama LPMM series low-profile antennas. Instead of drilling through a roof panel or enclosure lid, the pad bonds the antenna to a clean, flat surface, keeping the installation reversible and the surface intact.
Adhesive mounting solves real problems in fleet and equipment deployments. Leased vehicles usually cannot be drilled. Finished electrical enclosures lose their ingress rating when penetrated. Some roof structures simply cannot accept a bolt-through mount. In each case, an adhesive pad matched to the antenna's base footprint gives the installer a supported, manufacturer-sanctioned alternative to improvised tapes and glues.
Because adhesive pads are effectively single-use — removing an antenna typically consumes the pad — the SR7-217 also serves as a standard replacement part. Teams that relocate antennas during vehicle turnover or equipment refurbishment should stock pads alongside their LPMM antennas so re-installation never waits on a small consumable.
Surface preparation drives adhesive performance: the mounting area should be flat, clean, dry, and free of wax or release agents before the pad is applied. Once bonded, the low-profile LPMM antenna presents minimal wind load, which helps the adhesive joint stay reliable across temperature cycles and vehicle wash cycles alike. The pad ships as a single unit with a listed shipping weight of 1 lb.
