About This Device

This Cradlepoint package (BE05-1855-5GC-GP) combines the Asia-Pacific variant of the W1855 Series outdoor 5G Wideband Adapter with a 5-year subscription to the NetCloud Branch 5G Adapter Essentials plan. Asia-Pacific presents an unusual 5G landscape: some of the world's most mature 5G networks in markets like Australia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, alongside coverage that varies sharply outside metros. The W1855's outdoor-mount design extracts the most from both ends of that spectrum. Mounted on an exterior wall or mast in its weatherized enclosure, it captures mid-band 5G before building envelopes - metal cladding, dense urban construction, energy-efficient glazing - attenuate it, and its 5GC modem falls back to 4G LTE automatically where 5G thins. The connection feeds indoors over Ethernet to the firewall, router, or SD-WAN appliance the site already operates, leaving the regional edge standard untouched. A 4FF SIM activates the carrier with the best coverage in each market. The GP variant gives APAC-based estates a clean regional SKU, alongside the North America (GN), European (GE), UK (GU), and global (GM) siblings - useful when regional procurement and support paths matter. The 5-year term wraps NetCloud management - zero-touch provisioning, centralized configuration and firmware, monitoring, alerting - plus Cradlepoint support and warranty around the outdoor asset's realistic service life. For fleets standardizing outdoor 5G capture across APAC distribution hubs, industrial sites, and fringe-coverage branches, one purchase per site covers the deployment from mounting to refresh at the lowest per-year cost available for the platform.
