Overview

The Ericsson Cradlepoint E3000 is an enterprise branch router with an embedded 5G modem, 4x4 Wi-Fi 6, nine GbE ports, a 2.5GbE port, 10GbE SFP+ and four 802.3bt PoE ports in a metal chassis. This U.S. & Canada package, part number BFA1-30005GB-GN, combines the E3000 5GB with Wi-Fi hardware with 1-year NetCloud Enterprise Branch Essentials + Advanced plans for fixed offices, healthcare, financial services and retail sites that need security services at scale.

The Ericsson Cradlepoint E3000 is designed for larger branch locations such as fixed offices, healthcare facilities, financial services and retail, where security and analytics performance matter as much as connectivity. It combines routing, security, PoE switching and Wi-Fi in one metal chassis, and its embedded 5GB modem provides 5G FR1 NSA/SA with LTE Advanced Pro Category 20, 4x4 MIMO, dual 2FF SIM slots and peak rates up to 4.14 Gbps downlink and 660 Mbps uplink. Four external paddle antennas are included, and 5G NR coverage includes n2, n5, n41, n66, n71, n77 and CBRS n48.

Wired connectivity includes 9 x GbE, 1 x 2.5GbE and 1 x 10GbE SFP+, all LAN/WAN switchable, with four 802.3bt PoE Type 3/4 ports delivering up to 90 W each from a 140 W budget to power access points, cameras or phones. Wi-Fi 6 uses 4x4 MU-MIMO with external antennas, reaching 2,400 Mbps on 5 GHz with WPA3 support. An MC400 slot adds a second modem, VRRP pairing enables hardware redundancy, and an RJ45 console port is provided.

Rated performance includes 2 Gbps stateful firewall, 1.5 Gbps IPS and application-aware services, 400 Mbps IPsec VPN, 20 concurrent VPN tunnels, 130,000 TCP sessions and a typical client count of 100.

The included 1-year Essentials + Advanced plans add dynamic routing, application-aware traffic steering, zone-based firewall, intrusion prevention and threat protection, managed through NetCloud Manager with zero-touch deployment. Support runs for the full term, and hardware carries a limited lifetime warranty while a NetCloud subscription is active.
