About This Device

This Cradlepoint package (BEA1-1850-5GC-GN, Americas) combines the W1850 Series 5G Wideband Adapter with a 1-year subscription covering both the NetCloud Branch 5G Adapter Essentials plan and the Advanced plan - the full management stack for 5G wireless WAN. The W1850 is a dual-SIM (2x 4FF) cellular and Ethernet adapter that attaches to the firewall, router, or SD-WAN appliance a branch already runs and presents a managed 5G WAN path with automatic LTE fallback. Dual SIM slots matter operationally: keep two carriers provisioned and the site can shift networks without a truck roll, whether for coverage, cost, or contract reasons. Deployed as failover, the 5G link carries the entire branch through wired outages; deployed as primary WAN, strong mid-band 5G rivals wired circuits. The two-tier subscription splits the operational work. Essentials covers zero-touch provisioning, centralized configuration and firmware management, monitoring, and alerting through the NetCloud console, plus Cradlepoint support and warranty for the term. The Advanced tier adds deeper cellular analytics and reporting, extended WAN visibility, and enhanced remote troubleshooting - the difference between knowing a site failed over and knowing why, from the console, before anyone drives anywhere. The 1-year term keeps the commitment small while you evaluate whether the Advanced tier earns its keep across the fleet. Teams that standardize typically move to the 3-year (BEA3) or 5-year (BEA5) versions for better economics, while the Essentials-only BE01 bundle trims cost at sites that do not justify the top tier.
