About This Device
Vehicle and industrial installs rarely get to use a wall adapter — routers are wired into fuse panels, DC buses and terminal blocks. The Cradlepoint 170585-001 is the direct-wire cable for that job: a 3 m (9.84 ft), 22 AWG cable with the small 2x2 (4-pin) power/GPIO connector on the router end and bare-wire leads on the other, ready to terminate wherever the installation demands.
The cable serves Cradlepoint's compact router platforms — the feed lists IBR1700, IBR900 and IBR600C/IBR650C, and Cradlepoint's broader documentation includes IBR200, IBR600, IBR600B and IBR1100 series among 2x2-connector products. Rated for 12 V DC operation, it carries router power and brings out the GPIO conductors, which is what enables the fleet-standard ignition-sensing setup: the router powers up and shuts down with the vehicle rather than draining the battery overnight.
At three meters, the run reaches from a trunk-mounted or headliner-mounted router to a fuse box or DC distribution point without splices, and the 22 AWG gauge is sized for the modest current draw of the supported routers over that distance. The black jacket disappears in vehicle interiors and cabinets alike.
This is the cable to specify for police and transit vehicle upfits, heavy equipment, kiosks fed by DC rails, and any IBR-series deployment where the power source is a bus bar rather than an outlet. Genuine Cradlepoint accessory, MPN 170585-001, UPC 810007800547, made in Taiwan.
