Overview

The Cradlepoint 170700-000 COR Extensibility Dock expands IBR900, IBR600C and R500-PLTE routers. It adds an MC400 expansion slot for a second modem and two extra 10/100 Ethernet ports. A 2x10 connector carries extra GPIO, 5 V sensor power, ignition sensing and redundant power. The dock can also add GPS when fitted with a GPS-capable MC400 modem. It suits fleet, public-safety and industrial deployments that need more WAN, LAN and I/O than the base router provides.

The Cradlepoint COR Extensibility Dock (part number 170700-000) is a modular expansion unit for the IBR900, IBR600C and R500-PLTE routers. It attaches to a compatible router and extends it in three areas: WAN connectivity, wired LAN and I/O.

For WAN, the dock adds an MC400 expansion slot for dual-modem configurations. Installing an MC400 modem gives the router a second cellular connection for carrier diversity or failover. If that modem has GPS capability, such as the MC400LP6 or MC400LPE, the dock also adds GPS functionality. For wired networking, the dock adds two 10/100 Ethernet ports for cameras, payment terminals, in-vehicle computers or other local equipment.

For I/O and power, a 2x10 connector provides several functions: - Extra GPIOs: one input plus four configurable I/O - 5 V DC, 50 mA sensor power - Ignition sensing - Redundant power supply capability
