Cradlepoint COR Extensibility Cable, SATA to DB9 RS-232 Serial, 305 mm (170767-000)

The Cradlepoint COR Extensibility Cable, part number 170767-000, adds a standard DB9/RS-232 serial port to Cradlepoint routers that use the extensibility connector. It is built for fleet, transit and industrial IoT teams who need to connect serial equipment to an IBR900, IBR600C or R500-PLTE router. The cable gives these routers the same serial connection functionality as the IBR1700.

The cable runs from a SATA-style extensibility connector to a female 9-pin DB-9 RS-232 connector. With the IBR900, it provides OBD-II support when you add an OBD-II cable, so vehicle diagnostic data can reach the router. It can also send GPS data over the serial port for dispatch terminals, telematics units or other onboard systems that expect NMEA-style serial input. Serial redirect works on all compatible routers and lets the router report data from the serial port over its LTE connection. This is a practical way to bring legacy serial devices such as meters, controllers and sensors onto a cellular network.

At 305 mm long and finished in black, the cable is short enough to route cleanly inside a vehicle console, cabinet or enclosure. It is sold as the cable only. Cradlepoint lists it as an accessory in the IBR600C Series, IBR900 Series and R500-PLTE Series data sheets, and it is available across North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa & Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
