Overview

The C2G 20279 is a compact 1-port USB-C wall charger with Power Delivery, rated at 18W for charging smartphones and tablets at the desk, at home or on the road. It supplies 5V/3A, 9V/2A or 12V/1.5A through a single USB-C port and works with USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 cables. The AC prongs fold into the housing for travel, and the black body measures 51 x 38 x 26 mm.

The C2G 1-Port USB-C Wall Charger with Power Delivery (legacy part number 20279, manufacturer part number CG20279) is an 18W charger for keeping smartphones and tablets powered at home, in the office or while travelling. It plugs into a standard NEMA 1-15 outlet and delivers power through one USB-C female port, and it works with both USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 cables.

Three fixed Power Delivery output levels are available: 5V at 3.0A, 9V at 2.0A and 12V at 1.5A. C2G rates USB-C port efficiency at 81.38% at 5V and 85.0% at both 9V and 12V, and standby power loss is 0.1W or less, so it draws very little when left plugged in without a device attached. The input accepts a 90-264V AC range (100-240V AC nominal) at 47-63Hz.

The housing is built for bags and field kits. At 51 x 38 x 26 mm and a 0.14 lb shipping weight it takes up little space, and the AC prongs fold into the adapter so they are less likely to bend or break in transit. It is rated for operation from 0 to +35°C and 20% to 80% non-condensing humidity, at altitudes up to 2000m.

For IT and operations teams issuing phones and tablets, the charger carries NDAA 889, Prop 65, REACH, RoHS and TSCA certifications and is CE marked, conforming to 2011/65/EU RoHS2. It is not TAA compliant. A C2G datasheet is available for this model.
