Gamber-Johnson 7160-1368-30 Dual USB Docking Station for Samsung Galaxy Tab Active2, Active3 and Active5

The Gamber-Johnson 7160-1368-30 turns a Samsung Galaxy Tab Active2, Active3 or Active5 into a docked workstation for vehicles, forklifts and fixed stations. It is designed for the tablet fitted with its rugged case. It suits logistics, material handling, public safety and utility teams who need the tablet charged, secured and connected to peripherals between tasks.

Docking takes one hand. Insert the bottom of the tablet and push the top in until the lock engages, then push the latch button up with your thumb to release it. While the tablet is docked, a POGO pin connector and the dock's internal power supply keep it charging. Users keep access to all control buttons, the camera, ports and the stylus. Two powered USB ports supply 1.5A each for scanners, keyboards and other peripherals, and an integrated cable restraint system keeps those cables in place. The ports run at USB 2.0 with the Tab Active3 and Active5 and at USB 1.1 with the Tab Active2. The dock provides full port replication but no RF antenna pass-through.

The 10-40V input range covers a wide range of mobile applications. A 40-inch power cable with an MP205 in-line jack connects quickly to the compatible 7300-0435 AC power supply. The dock mounts to VESA 75mm and AMPS patterns, works with Zirkona mounting products and can also be fixed to a flat vertical surface. Its composite construction keeps the weight to 1.10 lb. A push-button lock with key deters theft.

Gamber-Johnson has tested the dock to MIL-STD 810G shake and vibration and SAE J1455 crash standards, and backs it with a 3 year limited warranty. The manufacturer publishes a product sheet, installation instructions (INST-920) and a testing summary for this dock. Docks manufactured before 01/01/2024 may be affected by disconnect software.
