The Wilson Electronics 859120 is a wideband -7 dB tap for WilsonPro cellular repeaters. It splits the signal unequally, with a -7 dB tap port and a -1.2 dB pass-thru port, so two antennas on uneven cable runs receive similar power. It is designed for 600 to 4,000 MHz systems, including C-Band and T-Mobile Band 71, and is Pro 710i compatible. It uses 50 Ohm N-Female connectors and is rated IP65.

The Wilson Electronics 859120 balances a WilsonPro repeater system when two antennas sit at different distances from the repeater. The -7 dB tap port feeds the closer antenna. The -1.2 dB pass-thru port sends the larger share of signal toward the farther antenna, compensating for its longer cable so both antennas deliver similar power.

The tap is designed for WilsonPro C-Band systems from 600 to 4,000 MHz. It supports C-Band and T-Mobile Band 71 and is Pro 710i compatible. Wilson lists it as required when adding C-Band antennas (311245, 311243, 311242) and repeaters to an existing system, and it replaces the previous -7 dB tap, model 859114. The spec sheet lists 2G/3G/4G/LTE/5G coverage across a 575-6000 MHz band.

The spec sheet gives 7 dB coupling with ±1.5 dB accuracy and insertion loss of 1.5 dB or lower. Isolation is 26 dB or better from 575-2700 MHz. VSWR is 1.30 or lower up to 2700 MHz and PIM is -150 dBc or better. The tap handles 200 W per port. It operates from -30°C to +65°C at 5-95% humidity in an IP65 housing suited to indoor or outdoor installation. The package measures 7.0 x 3.125 x 1.25 in and weighs 0.91 lb. What does the 859120 tap do?

When is a -7 dB tap the right choice over a -10 dB tap?

Choose the -7 dB tap when the difference in cable length between the near and far antennas is moderate. It sends more signal to the tap port than the -10 dB 859119.
