The Surface Slim Pen 2 is Microsoft's flat, rechargeable active pen for handwritten notes, sketching, markup and navigation. It is designed to feel like pen on paper. This listing, 8WY-00001, is a commercial DEMO unit of the Surface Slim Pen for Business (2nd Edition) in Matte Black, with US/Canada packaging in English, Canadian French and Spanish. It uses the same hardware as the standard business Slim Pen.

The sharp tip, precise tilt and 4,096 pressure levels with zero force inking support fine linework and natural shading. Customizable haptic feedback on Windows 11 adapts to the tool you select, from a thin brush to a thick marker. A side button and a top button with eraser function can be programmed, and palm rejection lets you rest your hand on the screen. In Windows 11, handwriting can convert to text in search boxes and documents. OneNote notes can be summarized with Copilot, and on Copilot+ PCs the pen works with Cocreator.

The pen connects over Bluetooth 5.0 and runs on a rechargeable lithium-ion battery rated for all-day use. It charges magnetically and wirelessly when stored in the Surface Pro 13-inch Keyboard with pen storage, Surface Pro 13-inch Flex Keyboard, Surface Pro Signature Keyboard, Surface Laptop Studio, the back of the 12-inch Surface Pro for Business (Snapdragon) or the Surface Slim Pen USB-C Charging Base. These are sold separately, and no charger or spare tips are included. The pen measures 5.38 x 0.44 x 0.25 inches and weighs 13 g.
