Overview

The Wilson Electronics 970024-10 is a 10-pack of the 970024 solderless field-termination N connector. A gold-plated captive center pin lets installers terminate LMR-400-class cable without soldering or crimping. The connectors work on Wilson-400, LMR-400, CNT-400 and TWS-400 cable with a solid conductor and are rated 0-3.0 GHz at 50 Ω. They suit indoor or outdoor installations.

The 970024 Solderless Field Termination Captive Pin N Connector is designed to let installers build custom cable lengths on location. It removes the need to measure every run in advance and pre-build cables in the shop. The gold-plated captive center pin allows the cable to be terminated without soldering or crimping, which makes a good termination easier to achieve in the field. This SKU packs 10 connector kits together.

Each kit includes the connector body, nut, clamp, bushing, insulator and shrink boot. The connectors terminate LMR-400 or equivalent cable and are specified for Wilson-400, LMR-400, CNT-400 and TWS-400. They can only be used on cables with a solid center conductor. Construction is nickel-plated brass, and Wilson rates the connector as acceptable for indoor or outdoor use.

Electrically, Wilson specifies 0-3.0 GHz supported frequencies, 50 Ω impedance, VSWR of 1.18 or less across 0-3.0 GHz, and a withstanding voltage of at least 1500 V. Wilson backs the connector with a 2 year warranty, and a manufacturer spec sheet is available for the part. With ten kits per pack, one order covers five complete two-ended cable runs.
