Overview

The Adesso AUH-1030 is a Qi-certified wireless charging pad with three coils and a tray design. The tray keeps a phone from slipping and gives more freedom in where you place it. It delivers up to 10W to capable devices and charges through cases up to 3 mm. Overcharge, temperature and foreign object protection are built in. The pad is powered from a USB port with the included USB-C to USB-A cable.

The Adesso AUH-1030 is a three-coil Qi wireless charging pad for desks, travel bags and shared workspaces. Its tray design holds the device in place, and the three coils cover a wider area than a single-coil pad. Users do not need to hunt for an exact position to start charging. Set any Qi-enabled phone or earbud case on the pad and it begins charging.

Output reaches a maximum of 10W for devices that support that wattage. Powered from a Quick Charge 3.0 source, the pad supports 10W. From a Quick Charge 2.0 source, it supports 7.5W. Input is rated at 5V/2A or 9V/1.65A, and Adesso lists 70% efficiency at a 5W full load. The pad charges through cases up to 3 mm thick without extending recharge time.

Protection features include foreign object detection, temperature protection and overcharge prevention. The pad turns off automatically once the battery is full. A blue LED indicates quick-charge mode on compatible devices, and a green LED shows normal charging. The AUH-1030 carries FCC, CE and RoHS certifications and is certified to WPC Qi v1.2.4 BPP.

The pad measures 178 x 102 x 13 mm and weighs 227 g. It ships with a 4 ft (1.2 m) USB-A to USB-C cable for connection to a powered USB port or USB adapter. That makes it a practical standard-issue charger for offices, reception desks and mobile staff using Qi-capable iPhone or Samsung Galaxy phones.
