Overview
The Panorama Antennas C29FP-5SP-GNSS is the GNSS-designated version of Panorama's 5 m (16.4 ft) FME male to SMA male cable assembly. It is built on CS29 double-screened 5 mm coax with a stranded copper centre conductor, and Panorama rates the cable for cellular, WLAN and other applications up to 3 GHz. Use it to link an FME-terminated antenna to a device with an SMA female port.
- GNSS-designated 5 m (16.4 ft) cable assembly on Panorama CS29 coax
- FME male connector to SMA male connector
- Double-screened 5 mm cable: aluminium foil plus tin-plated copper braid (no less than 95% coverage)
- Stranded copper centre conductor and cellular polyethylene dielectric for flexibility
- Typical attenuation of 4 dB/10 m at 1 GHz and 5.5 dB/10 m at 2 GHz
- Rated for cellular, WLAN and other applications up to 3 GHz
- Operating temperature from -40 °C to +80 °C
- Run a GNSS antenna lead 5 m from the antenna to a router, gateway or receiver with an SMA female port
The C29FP-5SP-GNSS is a 5 m cable assembly with an FME male connector at one end and an SMA male connector at the other. As the part number indicates, it is the GNSS-designated variant of the C29FP-5SP. It is intended for the GNSS antenna path in installations that pair an FME-terminated antenna connection with an SMA female port on a router, gateway, modem or receiver.
The assembly uses Panorama's CS29 cable (part SR1-029-B), a 5.0 mm (0.20 in) double-screened coax. An aluminium foil inner shield is combined with a tin-plated copper braid of no less than 95% coverage. Panorama says this significantly reduces attenuation, especially at higher frequencies. The stranded copper centre conductor and cellular polyethylene dielectric give the cable its flexibility, which helps in vehicle and cabinet installations where the GNSS lead runs alongside cellular antenna cables.
Panorama publishes typical attenuation of 2.2 dB per 10 m at 400 MHz, 4 dB per 10 m at 1 GHz and 5.5 dB per 10 m at 2 GHz. Impedance is 50 Ω (±2 Ω at 1 GHz, ±4 Ω at 2 GHz), and shielding effectiveness is better than -95 dB to IEC 61196-1 at 400 MHz. The black TPE outer jacket is rated from -40 °C to +80 °C. Electrically, the cable is tested to 1000 VDC voltage withstand and 3000 V RMS jacket spark.
For fleet and field deployments that combine cellular and GNSS antennas, a dedicated GNSS-designated part number keeps the positioning lead distinct from cellular cables when ordering and installing.
Ideal for
- Running a GNSS antenna lead to a vehicle router or gateway with an SMA GNSS port
- Fleet tracking installations that combine cellular and GNSS antennas
- Fixed-site gateways needing a GNSS antenna mounted up to 5 m away
- Keeping GNSS and cellular cable part numbers distinct in multi-antenna deployments

Questions buyers ask
How does the C29FP-5SP-GNSS differ from the C29FP-5SP?
Both are 5 m CS29 cable assemblies with FME male and SMA male connectors. The C29FP-5SP-GNSS carries a GNSS designation in its part number, marking it for the GNSS antenna path.
Which connectors does it mate with?
The FME male end mates with an FME female connector. The SMA male end connects to an SMA female port on a router, gateway, modem or receiver.
How much loss does 5 m of CS29 add?
Panorama lists typical CS29 attenuation of 4 dB per 10 m at 1 GHz and 5.5 dB per 10 m at 2 GHz. That is roughly 2 dB and 2.75 dB respectively over this 5 m length, before connector losses.
