The Socket Mobile XtremeScan Grip XG930 (CX4183-3250, Cable Only) combines an iPhone case, a Class 2 1D laser scanner and a pistol-grip handle in one rugged unit. It reads barcodes from 1.2 in to 180 in, scans through plastic or glass, carries an IP67 rating and is drop-rated to 10 ft per MIL-STD-810G. The case charges both the iPhone and the scanner.

The XtremeScan Grip XG930 is Socket Mobile's industrial point-and-shoot scanner for iPhone. It combines a heavy-duty iPhone case, a 1D laser barcode scanner and a pistol-grip handle into one modular handheld. Socket Mobile lists it as compatible with iPhone 17e, 16e, 16 and 15. This SKU, CX4183-3250, is the Cable Only configuration and ships with a USB-C to 4-pin charging cable.

The Class 2 laser handles moderate to rigorous workloads of thousands of scans per day. Depending on symbology, barcode size and label media, it reads from 1.2 in (3.0 cm) out to 180 in (457.2 cm), so high rack labels and floor labels are within reach. It scans through plastic or glass, in lighting from pitch black to direct sunlight, and at imperfect barcodes held sideways or upside down. An LED aimer projects a rectangular illumination field for precise targeting.

The housing is IP67 sealed against dust and water immersion. It is rated for 10 ft (3.1 m) drops at room temperature and 8 ft and 7 ft drops to concrete across temperature, per MIL-STD-810G. The case includes an integrated charger that charges the iPhone and the scanner without removing the phone. The field-replaceable 700 mAh lithium polymer battery provides up to 10,000 scans in 11 hours.

The XG930 pairs over Bluetooth Classic 2.1 + EDR and works out of the box with apps built on Socket Mobile's CaptureSDK (version 2.0.29 or higher). Socket Mobile designs and assembles the unit in Fremont, California, includes a 1-year warranty, and publishes a user guide, quick start guide and programming guide.
