Overview

The Socket Mobile DuraSled DS840 fleet bundle (CX4304-3435) packs six DS840 barcode sled scanners for iPhone 16 and iPhone 15 in the Cloud color with a 6-bay charger. It is the North America and Japan version. Each sled wraps the iPhone in a rubber drop-protective case and adds a 1D/2D imager that reads printed and on-screen barcodes. A field-replaceable battery is rated for a full shift, and the charger powers all six sleds at once.

The DuraSled DS840 turns an iPhone 16 or iPhone 15 into a dedicated data-capture device. This bundle (CX4304-3435) equips a team with six DS840 sled scanners in the Cloud color and a 6-bay charger that charges up to six DuraSleds and DuraScan 800 Series scanners at the same time. It is the North America and Japan configuration. Socket Mobile sells separate Europe, United Kingdom and Australia versions. iPhones are not included.

Each sled uses a 1280 x 960 imager with omnidirectional decoding for 1D, 2D and postal symbologies. That covers UPC/EAN, Code 128, GS1 DataBar, QR, Data Matrix, PDF417 and more. It reads printed labels as well as barcodes shown on a screen, from 1.2 to 19.5 in depending on barcode size and media. It is rated for ambient light from pitch black to direct sunlight. The rubber casing is tested to 2,500 tumble cycles at 1 m onto a metal plate, and LEDs confirm each good read and show charging status.

The 700 mAh lithium-polymer battery is field-replaceable and rated for 10,000 scans within 11 hours or 25 hours of standby. The sled connects over Class 2 Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR with up to 10 m range. It works in iOS Application Mode by default, and HID and SPP modes are also available. Square and Shopify support it natively, and developers can add it to native or web apps with CaptureSDK 2.0.29 or higher. Accessories and the SDK stay the same across DuraSled models, so the investment carries forward when your iPhone fleet changes.

Each unit ships with a wrist strap and Get Started Guide. Socket Mobile includes a 1-year warranty, and the datasheet, user guide, programming guide and battery replacement guide are available.
