The Socket Mobile DuraScan Terminal DT862 (CX4679-3960) adds professional mid-range 1D/2D scanning to an iPhone 17e or iPhone 16e. It reads 5 to 160 mil barcodes from 2.1 inches to 14 feet. Its rubberized, IP54-rated housing protects the phone while keeping the camera, touchscreen and USB-C charging accessible. It connects over Bluetooth LE to apps built with Socket Mobile CaptureSDK and runs on a field-replaceable 1200 mAh battery. This SKU is the data reader only; no iPhone is included.

The DuraScan Terminal DT862 is a mid-range scanning terminal for mobile professionals who work on iPhone. It is designed for the iPhone 17e and is also compatible with the iPhone 16e. Its high-performance engine reads 1D and 2D barcodes from 2.1 inches out to 14 feet, and handles barcode sizes from 5 mil to 160 mil. Staff can scan items on shelves, luggage belts, counters and equipment without repositioning. A high-visibility aimer helps with targeting at any distance.

The DT862 adds several capabilities over the DT841. It reads DotCode, GS1 Data Matrix and GS1 QR, and adds UK Postal to its postal codes. It also supports OCR-A and OCR-B by default, with MICR E13B available. Omnidirectional scanning captures printed and on-screen codes. Advanced decoding handles scratched, smudged and low-contrast labels, down to 25%-20% print contrast.

The rubberized, IP54-rated enclosure protects the iPhone from drops and bumps. Users keep full access to the native camera and touchscreen, and USB-C passthrough charges the phone while it stays in place. Power comes from a field-replaceable 1200 mAh, 3.7 V lithium-ion polymer battery rated for a full shift. LED indicators and audible tones confirm each read.

Connectivity is Bluetooth Low Energy in Application Mode. The DT862 works with apps built with Socket Mobile CaptureSDK version 2.0.29 or higher. The terminal is designed and assembled in Fremont, California, and includes a 1-year warranty. A version with a pre-installed 256GB iPhone 17e is available as HC2134-3962. This SKU, CX4679-3960, is the data reader only.
