Panorama DPX-210-270 Diplexer Splitter, 50-210 / 270-1000 MHz, FME

A diplexer is not a splitter in the ordinary sense — it is a pair of filters in one housing. The Panorama DPX-210-270 takes a single wideband antenna feed and separates it by frequency: signals from 50-210 MHz exit the low-pass port, while signals from 270-1000 MHz exit the high-pass port. The guard band between 210 and 270 MHz provides the filter roll-off that keeps the two paths isolated from each other. That isolation is the point. Where a resistive splitter would send every signal to every port (and waste half the power doing it), the diplexer routes each band only where it belongs. This lets two receivers or radios covering different frequency ranges — for example VHF equipment on the low port and UHF or broadcast equipment on the high port — share one antenna and one cable run, which is especially valuable on vehicles and masts where every additional antenna costs money and mounting space. The unit is an inline filter module with FME connectors, keeping cabling slim and compatible with Panorama's FME-terminated antenna systems and its wide adapter family for SMA, TNC, and other equipment ports.
