Overview

The Plugable PS1-CA1 turns one wall outlet into a small charging station. It plugs directly into the wall and passes the AC outlet through, so you keep the socket. It also adds a USB-C Power Delivery 3.0 port that delivers up to 30W and a USB-A port that delivers 12W. When both USB ports are in use, the USB-C port delivers 20W and the USB-A port delivers 12W. Its compact, stackable body leaves the adjacent outlet free.

The Plugable PS1-CA1 is a wall outlet extender and USB charger in one unit. It suits travelers, hot-desk workers and anyone setting up a desk where outlets are scarce. It plugs straight into an AC wall outlet and keeps a full pass-through outlet on the front, rated for 15 amps, so a laptop brick, lamp or another charger can still be used. On the same face it adds a USB-C Power Delivery 3.0 port and a USB-A Smart Charging port, for 32W of combined USB power.

Power sharing is simple. With only the USB-C port in use, it supplies up to 30W, using PD profiles of 5V/3A, 9V/2.22A-3A, 12V/1.67A-2.5A and 15V/2A. That is enough to fast charge an iPhone 15 or iPhone 16. Plugable rates an iPhone 15 Pro at 0-50% in 25 minutes. The USB-A port alone supplies 5V/2.4A (12W). With both ports in use, USB-C delivers up to 20W and USB-A up to 12W at the same time.

The body measures 2.9 x 1.6 x 1.6 in (7.48 x 4.05 x 4.08 cm) and weighs 99 g (3.5 oz). It covers only one outlet, so the neighbouring socket stays usable, and units can be stacked.
