Overview

The StarTech.com SDCOTG is a 6-inch USB On-The-Go adapter cable for Samsung Galaxy Tab tablets with the 30-pin Samsung dock connector. It turns the tablet into a USB host through a standard USB-A female port, so you can connect thumb drives, keyboards and mice. The StarTech.com SDCOTG adds a standard USB port to a Samsung Galaxy Tab that uses the 30-pin Samsung dock connector. One end has a 30-pin Samsung male connector that plugs into the tablet. The other end has a 4-pin USB Type-A female port rated at 480Mbps and 2.5W. With it, an OTG-capable Galaxy Tab can act as a USB host for everyday accessories.

For field and office teams still running 30-pin Galaxy Tab devices, the adapter makes the tablet more useful. Plug in a USB keyboard for longer data entry, add a mouse for precise navigation, or connect a thumb drive to move files without a computer or network connection. The cable is 6 inches long, so it adds little bulk to a tablet bag or kit.

The cable uses 26/28 AWG wire with aluminum-Mylar foil shielding and a drain wire. The connectors are nickel-plated and the jacket is PVC.
