Overview

The Cisco ANT-4G-PNL-OUT-N= is a directional, dual-polarized MIMO panel antenna for 3G, 4G and WiMAX 2300/2500 links on Cisco industrial routers. It covers 698-960 MHz and 1710-2700 MHz with gain of up to 10.0 dBi, slant ±45° polarization and more than 30 dB port isolation. It connects through dual N-type female connectors and mounts to a wall or mast, indoors or outdoors, in an IP55 UV-resistant radome.

When a cellular router sits far from the nearest tower, a directional antenna can make the difference between a marginal link and a dependable one. The Cisco Multiband Panel Outdoor 4G MIMO Antenna (ANT-4G-PNL-OUT-N=) is a dual-port directional panel. It covers LTE700, Cellular, PCS, AWS and MDS, global GSM900, GSM1800, UMTS and LTE2600, and WiMAX 2300/2500.

The antenna has two slant ±45° dual-polarized elements, so one panel feeds both MIMO chains of a 4G modem. Isolation between ports is greater than 30 dB. Gain is 8.0-10.0 dBi from 698 to 960 MHz, 6.0-8.5 dBi from 1710 to 2170 MHz, 6.5-9.5 dBi from 2200 to 2400 MHz and 8.5-9.5 dBi from 2500 to 2700 MHz. The front-to-back ratio is typically 20 dB in low band and 23 dB in the upper bands, which helps reject interference from behind the panel. Vertical beamwidth runs 53 to 98 degrees depending on band, which makes the panel practical to aim.

The panel measures 11.61 x 11.61 x 3.23 in and weighs 3.22 lb. It mounts to a wall or mast, indoors or outdoors, and a mounting bracket is included. The white polycarbonate radome is UV resistant and rated IP55, and the antenna operates from -40 to 70°C with a 93 mph wind rating. VSWR is 2.0:1 maximum, and each port accepts up to 10 W. The antenna is RoHS compliant.
