Overview

The Panorama EF-BC3G-26-3SP is a slimline, adhesive-mount cellular antenna covering 698–960, 1710–2170 and 2400–2700 MHz. Gain is 2, 3 and 6 dBi respectively. It is omnidirectional and ground-plane independent. The antenna fits on non-heated, non-metallised windshields, on or under plastic panels, or inside plastic enclosures. A single SISO element connects through a 3 m RG174 cable with an SMA male connector. It is designed for in-vehicle connectivity, smart metering, vending and M2M installations.

The Panorama EF-BC3G-26-3SP is the 3 m SMA male version of the EF-BC3G-26 Adhesive Mount 2G/3G/4G LTE Antenna. Panorama designed the range to reduce the lifetime cost of M2M and smart metering installations. It is robust, easy to install and intended to last the life of the installation without maintenance. It suits field-operations teams, integrators and IT managers connecting routers, gateways and modems in vehicles or fixed equipment.

The antenna covers global cellular and LTE bands across three ranges: 698–960 MHz at 2 dBi, 1710–2170 MHz at 3 dBi and 2400–2700 MHz at 6 dBi. Panorama lists it for 2G/3G/4G, 5G and FirstNet technologies within those ranges. Performance is omnidirectional with or without a ground plane. The efficient element design aims for a high first-time connection rate and a robust link in problematic coverage areas. It is plug-and-play and needs no additional tuning.

Installation uses the supplied automotive-grade adhesive pad. Suitable locations include windshields that are not heated or metallised, the surface or underside of plastic panels, or the inside of plastic enclosures. The weather-resistant plastic body suits semi-exposed locations. The slimline housing measures 131 x 21.7 mm and is rated from -30 °C to +70 °C with 10 W maximum input power. It uses a single SISO cellular element on a 3 m RG174 cable terminated in SMA male.

Panorama publishes the EF-BC3G-26 series datasheet and SW3-2000 installation instructions. Other terminations in the family include 0.5 m SMA male, 3 m FAKRA D and 3 m TS9 male.
