Overview

The Zebra ET401EA-301P1B2P-NA is an 8-inch rugged enterprise tablet for North America. It pairs a 5G Release 17 modem and Wi-Fi 7 with an integrated SR500 1D/2D scan engine, 6 GB LPDDR5 RAM and 64 GB UFS 2.2 flash, and Android with Google Mobile Services. The tablet has IP68 sealing, a 600-nit Gorilla Glass 5 display and a user-replaceable 6100 mAh battery. It is built for retail, logistics and warehouse teams that scan, sell and deliver in the field.

The Zebra ET401 is the successor to the ET40 and ET45 enterprise tablets. It keeps the thin, light design of the earlier ET4 series and moves to newer hardware. This North America SKU uses the 8-inch body, which weighs 1.05 lbs (480 g) and measures 0.45 in (11.4 mm) deep. It runs Android with Google Mobile Services on 6 GB LPDDR5 RAM and 64 GB UFS 2.2 flash, and a microSD slot accepts cards up to 2 TB. A Qualcomm Dragonwing Q-6690 processor runs at up to 2.0 GHz, and Zebra states processor support through 2034.

The integrated SR500 scan engine reads 1D and 2D barcodes in all lighting conditions, including bright sunlight. Its yellow LED aimer with red illumination makes targets easier to see, and it can also capture images, documents and OCR/text. A 16 MP autofocus rear camera and an 8 MP front camera are included. NFC supports Apple VAS and Google Smart Tap for contactless workflows.

For connectivity, the tablet combines 5G NR Sub-6 (NSA and SA) with Gigabit LTE-A, private cellular bands including B48 and n48, and tri-band Wi-Fi 7 with 2x2 MU-MIMO and MLO. It also has Bluetooth 6.0 and dual-band GNSS. SIM options are a nano SIM plus eSIM.

The ET401 is IP68 sealed and survives multiple 4 ft (1.2 m) drops to concrete, or 5.1 ft (1.5 m) with the optional rugged frame per MIL-STD-810H. It operates from -4°F to 122°F. The 600-nit WUXGA screen rejects water droplets and works with a bare or gloved finger or a conductive stylus. Nearly all ET40/ET45 accessories fit the ET401.
