Overview

The Zebra ET401EA-301P2B2P-NA is the higher-memory 8-inch ET401 rugged enterprise tablet for North America. It pairs 8 GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128 GB UFS 3.1 flash with a 5G Release 17 modem, Wi-Fi 7 and an integrated SR500 1D/2D scan engine, and runs Android with Google Mobile Services. IP68 sealing, a 600-nit Gorilla Glass 5 display and a user-replaceable 6100 mAh battery suit retail, logistics and warehouse work where apps and data need more room.

The Zebra ET401 is the successor to the ET40 and ET45 enterprise tablets. This North America SKU uses the 8-inch body and the upgraded memory configuration: 8 GB LPDDR5 RAM with 128 GB UFS 3.1 flash, plus a microSD slot for cards up to 2 TB. The extra memory gives headroom for multi-app workflows, offline data and image capture. It runs Android with Google Mobile Services on a Qualcomm Dragonwing Q-6690 processor at up to 2.0 GHz, with processor support through 2034. The tablet weighs 1.05 lbs (480 g) and is 0.45 in (11.4 mm) deep.

The integrated SR500 scan engine reads 1D and 2D barcodes in all lighting conditions, including bright sunlight. It uses a yellow LED aimer with red illumination and can capture images, documents and OCR/text. A 16 MP autofocus rear camera, an 8 MP front camera and NFC with Apple VAS and Google Smart Tap support round out data capture.

For connectivity, it offers 5G NR Sub-6 (NSA and SA), Gigabit LTE-A and private cellular band support. It also has tri-band Wi-Fi 7 with MLO, Bluetooth 6.0, dual-band GNSS, and a nano SIM plus eSIM.

The ET401 is IP68 sealed, rated for multiple 4 ft (1.2 m) drops to concrete (5.1 ft with the optional rugged frame per MIL-STD-810H), and operates from -4°F to 122°F. The 600-nit WUXGA display works with a bare or gloved finger or a conductive stylus and rejects water droplets. Nearly all ET40/ET45 accessories are compatible.
