Overview

The Taoglas Phoenix GSA.8827.A101111 is an ultra-wideband 5G/4G I-Bar antenna for covert installation inside vehicles and enclosures. It covers 600-6000 MHz, including sub-6 GHz 5G NR, worldwide LTE and 3G/2G fallback. It uses an omnidirectional dipole design only 7.7mm tall and mounts to glass or plastic with 3M double-sided adhesive. The antenna connects to a router, gateway or telematics unit through a 1m RG-174 cable terminated in an SMA male connector.

  • Ultra-wideband I-Bar dipole covering 600-6000 MHz, including sub-6 GHz 5G NR, LTE and 3G/2G
  • Omnidirectional radiation pattern with linear polarization and up to 2.95 dBi maximum gain (product attribute)
  • Low-profile 105 x 30 x 7.7mm UV-resistant PC/ABS housing weighing 50g
  • 3M double-sided adhesive mount for glass or plastic surfaces (not metal)
  • 1m RG-174 cable with straight SMA male connector, 50 Ω impedance
  • Built in a TS16949 first-tier automotive approved facility with full PPAP audits
  • Rated -40°C to 85°C; RoHS and REACH compliant
  • Mounts discreetly inside a vehicle windshield or window, so the antenna stays out of sight and out of the weather

The Taoglas Phoenix GSA.8827.A101111 is a wideband cellular I-Bar antenna for telematics, transportation and cellular router or gateway installations where the antenna needs to stay out of sight. The slim 105 x 30 x 7.7mm housing sticks to the inside of a windshield, window or plastic panel with strong 3M double-sided adhesive. The UV-resistant PC/ABS body is designed for glass or plastic surfaces and is not intended for mounting on metal.

The ultra-wideband dipole covers 600-6000 MHz with omnidirectional gain across all bands. On the cellular side, that includes 5G NR FR1 bands n71, n77, n78 and n79, plus LTE low-band (Band 71 and Bands 12/13/14/17/29), mid-band (Bands 2/4/25/66) and high-band (Bands 7/30/41/48). It also supports LTE-Advanced, WCDMA, HSPA/HSPA+ and TD-SCDMA. Taoglas publishes efficiency and gain figures in both free space and on glass, with peak gain reaching 7.3 dBi on glass in the 2300-2690 MHz range. The antenna uses 50 Ω impedance, linear polarization, a 2:1 VSWR and a 10 W maximum input power rating.

The GSA.8827 is manufactured and tested in a TS16949 first-tier automotive approved facility and has passed full PPAP design, reliability and quality audits. It is rated from -40°C to 85°C and for 95% RH non-condensing humidity. Its cable withstands an 8 kgf pull and the unit passes a 1m drop on concrete across 6 axes. It is RoHS and REACH compliant. A Taoglas datasheet for GSA.8827.A.101111 documents the full band table and per-band performance.

Ideal for

  • Covert windshield-mounted cellular antenna for fleet telematics units
  • Replacing stock whip antennas on in-vehicle 5G or LTE routers and gateways
  • Transit and transportation connectivity where exterior antennas are not permitted
  • Inside plastic enclosures for fixed cellular gateways and IoT equipment
