Overview

The Panorama LGE-6-60 is a rugged low profile panel-mount antenna combining a wideband SiSo 4G/5G cellular element (617–960 and 1427–6000 MHz) with an active 26 dB GPS/GNSS element. Its LEXAN housing is rated IP69K and IK10, and it needs no ground plane above 698 MHz. That makes it a strong fit for buses, first-responder vehicles, kiosks and vending machines.

The LGE-6-60 is the GPS-equipped model in Panorama's L[X]E-6-60 low profile series. A single wideband cellular element covers 4G/5G frequencies from 617–960 MHz and 1427–6000 MHz. Panorama lists Band 71 600 MHz readiness, CBRS, FirstNet and ESN among the supported technologies. The integrated active GPS/GNSS antenna (1559–1612 MHz) uses a 26 dB LNA for positioning and timing.

The antenna is designed to be tough yet cost-effective. The enclosure is moulded in LEXAN for impact resistance and carries IP69K ingress and IK10 impact ratings. Material flammability meets UL746C-F1 and UL94-V0, and the cables comply with UN ECE R118. It operates from -40 °C to +85 °C, measures 123 mm in diameter by 75 mm high, and handles up to 50 W. It needs no ground plane above 698 MHz and keeps a high level of performance on non-metallic surfaces.

The LGE-6-60 is panel mounted and supplied with short 0.3 m FR RG174 fly leads. The cellular lead terminates in SMA (m) and the GPS lead in FME (f). The fly leads can be kitted with Panorama's low loss extension cables in various lengths and connector configurations to reach the router. The cellular element is SiSo, so the LGE-6-60 provides one cellular feed plus GPS. Panorama publishes a datasheet and installation instructions (SW3-1010) for the series.
