Overview

The StarTech.com LTCUB6GR is a 6 ft (1.8 m) silver 3-in-1 charging cable that connects a Lightning, USB-C or Micro-USB device to a USB-A wall charger, car charger, power bank or computer. Lightning and USB-C adapter tips attach to the Micro-USB connector, so one cable serves Apple and Android devices one at a time. It is Apple MFi certified for iPhone/iPad (up to 9th gen), supports up to 2.4A charging and 480 Mbps USB 2.0 data, and uses a braided nylon jacket.

The StarTech.com LTCUB6GR is a single USB-A cable with three device connectors: Micro-USB, USB-C and Apple Lightning. The Lightning and USB-C connectors attach to the Micro-USB end, so switching between an iPhone, an Android phone and a legacy Micro-USB device takes seconds and no extra cables. It charges or syncs one device at a time and is Apple MFi certified for iPhone/iPad (up to 9th gen).

Performance covers both charging and data. The cable supports up to 2.4A charging from a USB wall charger, car charger or power bank, and USB 2.0 data transfer at up to 480 Mbps when connected to a computer. It is a passive cable. USB-C video (DP Alt Mode) is not supported.

Construction is built for frequent handling. A braided nylon jacket resists kinks and tangles, an aluminum-mylar foil and braid shield adds EMI protection, and the nickel-plated connectors have molded strain reliefs. StarTech.com tested the cable beyond 4,900 bending cycles at 25.4 mm. It uses 22 AWG stranded copper conductors, has a 4.4 mm outer diameter and is rated for 0 to 60°C operation.

The 6 ft (1.8 m) length lets users keep a phone or tablet in hand while it charges, which suits travel bags, vehicles, desks and shared workspaces. StarTech.com backs the LTCUB6GR for 2 years, including free lifetime 24/5 multi-lingual technical assistance. A datasheet is available, and a 1 m version is offered as LTCUB1MGR.
