Overview

The Cisco Meraki MA-ANT-C1-B is a directional cellular patch antenna for the Meraki MG21E cellular gateway. Mounted high on a pole or wall and aimed toward the tower, it delivers up to 8 dBi of peak gain across four ranges from 698 to 2690 MHz for better signal quality and power. It includes a 100 cm cable with RP-SMA connectors and the mounting bracket.

The Cisco Meraki Cellular Patch Antenna (MA-ANT-C1-B) is for MG21E deployments where the built-in or omnidirectional antennas can't pull a strong enough signal. Meraki describes it as ideal when higher directional gain toward a cellular tower is needed. Mounted high on a pole with a clearer line of sight to the tower, it gives the MG21E higher signal quality and power.

The narrow patch design covers four frequency ranges: 698-791 MHz, 824-960 MHz, 1710-2170 MHz and 2570-2690 MHz. Peak gain is 4 dBi in both low-band ranges, 8 dBi at 1710-2170 MHz and 7 dBi at 2570-2690 MHz. Polarization is linear, horizontal and vertical, and beamwidth is 60° in both the horizontal and vertical planes. That is focused enough to add gain and wide enough to aim easily.

The antenna measures 220 x 220 x 46 mm and weighs 550 g in a PC-ABS housing. It operates from -40°C to +85°C and handles 95% humidity at 55°C. It connects to the gateway over a 100 cm cable with RP-SMA connectors. The mounting bracket is included, and no other accessories are needed to mount it to walls or poles. Meraki certifies it for use with the MG21E only, and it includes a 1-year hardware warranty.
