Overview

The Taoglas Genesis MA244.LBIC.003 is a high-temperature 4-in-1 adhesive mount antenna with an active GPS/GLONASS/Galileo element, two 5G/4G MIMO cellular elements and a dual-band Wi-Fi element in one 12.4 mm-high PC+ABS housing. Rated IP65 and -40°C to +85°C, it suits fleet telematics, transportation and robotics. This variant ships with 3 m leads: RG174 with SMA(M) for GNSS and TGC-200 with SMA(M) for both cellular MIMO elements.

  • 4-in-1: active GNSS, 2x 5G/4G MIMO cellular and dual-band Wi-Fi in one housing
  • 5G/4G MIMO across 698-3800 MHz, including 5G FR1 n77/n78 and worldwide LTE bands
  • Active GPS/GLONASS/Galileo element with 30 dB LNA gain and 1.7 dB noise figure at 3.3 V
  • Dual-band Wi-Fi 2.4/5 GHz with peak gain above 4 dBi
  • IP65 PC+ABS enclosure rated -40°C to +85°C for high-temperature vehicle use
  • 3 m leads: RG174/SMA(M) GNSS, TGC-200/SMA(M) for both cellular MIMO elements
  • One adhesive-mounted unit replaces four antennas for GNSS, MIMO cellular and Wi-Fi
  • Two cellular elements with low envelope correlation support MIMO throughput on 4G and 5G routers

The Genesis MA244 packs four antennas into a single low-profile adhesive mount housing measuring 205.8 x 68 x 12.4 mm. Two omnidirectional cellular elements provide MIMO across 698-3800 MHz, covering worldwide LTE and 5G FR1 bands including n77/n78 (3300-3800 MHz), with efficiency of up to 72% depending on band and envelope correlation below 0.3 from 1700-3500 MHz. The band table lists coverage above 20% efficiency for LTE Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 17, 20, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30, 38, 41, 42, 43, 48 and 66, among others.

The GNSS element receives GPS L1, GLONASS L1, Galileo E1 and SBAS (WAAS/EGNOS), and was designed to perform equally well on the GPS/Galileo and GLONASS bands for steadier tracking in urban areas. It is an active antenna: the LNA and filter stage adds 30 dB of gain with a 1.7 dB noise figure, drawing 15 mA at 3.3 V from the receiver. The Wi-Fi element covers 2400-2500 and 4900-5850 MHz with peak gain above 4 dBi and efficiency up to 64.4%.

The PC+ABS enclosure is IP65 rated and built for the heat found in vehicles and transport equipment, operating from -40°C to +85°C and storing up to +90°C. Adhesive mounting avoids drilling.

MA244.LBIC.003 is a cable variant of the standard MA244.LBIC.002 with 3 m leads throughout: 3 m RG174 with SMA(M) for GNSS, 3 m TGC-200 with SMA(M) for cellular MIMO 1 and 2, and a 3 m Wi-Fi lead, giving room to route cables from a roof or dash position to a router or telematics unit.

Ideal for

  • Fleet management and telematics units with MIMO cellular, GNSS and Wi-Fi ports
  • 5G/4G vehicle routers in buses, trucks and emergency vehicles
  • Autonomous robotics platforms needing positioning and high-throughput uplink
  • Transportation and remote monitoring equipment exposed to high temperatures
