The Cradlepoint MB-RX30-POE turns an R1900 5G ruggedized router into a complete in-vehicle network hub by adding four Gigabit Ethernet PoE ports under a 60-watt total budget. Supporting the 802.3bt standard, the switch powers demanding endpoints—IP cameras, license plate readers, Wi-Fi access points, and mobile data terminals—straight from the router stack, removing the tangle of individual PoE injectors and DC converters that otherwise accumulates behind a vehicle console. The accessory is a Layer 2 managed switch with features including IGMP snooping, port mirroring, and spanning tree, so multicast video from onboard cameras behaves properly and troubleshooting is possible without pulling equipment from the vehicle.
