Overview

The Parsec Australian Shepherd PTA4AS4L15B is a low-profile, omni-directional 4G/5G vehicle antenna with four cellular elements in one IP67 housing. It covers 617-894, 1710-2700, 3400-4000 and 5150-5925 MHz for 4x4 MIMO cellular or two modems running at once. It installs through a single 1.5-inch hole, and its narrow radome fits between rooftop ridges beside modern LED light bars. The black radome comes with 15 ft LSR200 cables terminated in SMA male connectors.

The Australian Shepherd PTA Series is Parsec's low-profile, high-performance 5G antenna for vehicles that cannot carry a tall roof mast. The PTA4AS4L15B is the 4:1 configuration. It has four cellular elements in one housing, 15 ft cables and a black radome. It suits police, fire and EMS vehicles, ambulances, city buses, transportation fleets and mobile broadband installs where a clean roofline matters.

All four cellular ports cover 617-894 MHz, 1710-2700 MHz, 3400-4000 MHz and 5150-5925 MHz. That spans the common North American LTE and 5G bands, including B14, B71, n41, n71 and n77, plus CBRS (B48/n48) and LAA (B46). Listed EMEA bands include n78. Peak gain reaches 7 dBi at 3400-4000 MHz and 6.5 dBi across 1710-2700 MHz. The four elements can drive full 4x4 MIMO on one router or two cellular modems running simultaneously.

The housing measures 13.5 x 2.45 x 2.01 inches. It is narrow enough to sit between roof ridges and aerodynamic to limit wind noise around and inside the vehicle. It mounts directly to the roof through a single 1.5-inch hole and seals with an adhesive gasket. The radome is UV-stabilized plastic rated IP67 and operates from -40 °C to 85 °C. Every unit is 100% tested.

Does the PTA4AS4L15B include Wi-Fi or GPS elements?

No. This is the 4:1 configuration with four cellular elements only. Parsec's 5:1, 7:1, 8:1 and 9:1 Australian Shepherd versions add GPS, Wi-Fi and, on the 8:1, Bluetooth.

Can it be used with two cellular modems?

Yes. The four cellular elements can serve one modem in full 4x4 MIMO or two cellular modems running simultaneously.

Which frequencies does it cover?
