Overview

The Parsec Australian Shepherd PTA7AS4L2WG01B is a low-profile 7-in-1 roof antenna for police, fire, EMS and fleet vehicles. One IP67 housing carries four 4G/5G cellular elements covering 617-894, 1710-2700, 3400-4000 and 5150-5925 MHz, two Wi-Fi elements and an L1 GPS element. It installs through a single 1.5 in hole and ships with 1 ft leads in a black radome.

The Australian Shepherd PTA Series is Parsec's covert, low-profile 5G antenna. It was designed to sit alongside the low-profile LED light bars on modern police vehicles, with a narrow housing that fits between roof ridges and an aerodynamic shape that keeps wind noise down. This PTA7AS4L2WG01B is the 7:1 configuration. It has four cellular elements, two Wi-Fi elements and one L1 GPS element, uses 1 ft cables and has a black radome.

The four cellular ports cover 617-894 MHz, 1710-2700 MHz, 3400-4000 MHz and 5150-5925 MHz. That range includes the common North American LTE and 5G NR bands, among them B14, B71, n41, n71 and n77, plus CBRS (B48/n48) and LAA (B46). The ports can feed one modem in full 4x4 MIMO or two cellular modems running at the same time. Peak cellular gain reaches 7 dBi in the 3400-4000 MHz range. The Wi-Fi elements cover 2400-2483.5 MHz and 4900-5900 MHz with 10 dBi peak gain. The GPS element is an active RHCP L1 antenna with 28 dBic combined antenna and preamp gain.

The antenna is built for vehicle duty. It has an IP67 rating, a UV-stabilised plastic radome, an adhesive sealing gasket and a -40 °C to 85 °C operating range. Parsec states every unit is 100% tested. Cellular and GPS leads terminate in SMA(M) and the Wi-Fi leads in RP-SMA(M). The 1 ft leads suit installs where the router sits close to the mount point.
