Overview

The Taoglas Raptor X RAPX.7.1G4C2W.2M.F20.B is a 7-in-1 permanent screw-mount combination antenna in the MA8007 series. It combines four 5G/4G cellular MIMO elements covering 600-6000 MHz, one dual-band GNSS L1/L5 element and two 2.4/5.8 GHz Wi-Fi MIMO elements in a 350 x 70 x 39 mm IP69K and IK10 rated housing. This ordering variant uses 2 m RG-174/TGC-302 cable with a FAKRA Code C Gen 2 female connector on the GNSS lead.

  • 7-in-1 combination antenna: 4x 5G/4G cellular MIMO, 1x dual-band GNSS L1/L5, 2x Wi-Fi MIMO
  • Cellular coverage from 600 to 6000 MHz, including Band 71 and 5G NR n77/n78/n79
  • Active GNSS with LNA gain of 32.3 dB (high band) and 60 dB out-of-band attenuation
  • Wi-Fi 2400-2500 MHz and 5150-5850 MHz
  • IP69K and IK10 rated polycarbonate enclosure, -40°C to +85°C operation
  • Low-profile 350 x 70 x 39 mm housing with M22 thread screw mount
  • 2 m RG-174/TGC-302 cable with FAKRA Code C Gen 2 female GNSS connector
  • One mounting point serves a 5G/4G router's cellular, GNSS and Wi-Fi radios, which cuts roof penetrations and installation time

The Taoglas Raptor X RAPX.7.1G4C2W.2M.F20.B is a cable and connector ordering variant of the MA8007 Raptor X 7-in-1 combination antenna. It is built for 5G and 4G routers and gateways in vehicles, cabinets and industrial sites, where one roof or enclosure mount has to serve cellular, GNSS and Wi-Fi radios together. This variant is supplied with 2 m of RG-174/TGC-302 cable, and the GNSS lead terminates in a FAKRA Code C Gen 2 female connector.

The four cellular MIMO elements cover 600-6000 MHz, spanning low-band 5G NR/LTE such as Band 71 through mid-band and 3300-5000 MHz 5G NR bands n77, n78 and n79, with peak gain of up to 7.74 dBi in that range. The dual-band GNSS element receives GPS L1/L5, GLONASS G1, Galileo E1/E5a, BeiDou B1C/B1I/B2a, QZSS, IRNSS L5 and SBAS for positioning accuracy. It uses an active LNA with 32.3 dB high-band gain and 60 dB out-of-band attenuation. Two Wi-Fi elements cover 2400-2500 MHz and 5150-5850 MHz.

At 39 mm tall, the Raptor X suits vehicle roofs where height limits are commonly below 80 mm. Its 70 mm width fits between the ribs on many vehicle roofs and on a range of NEMA cabinets. The polycarbonate enclosure is rated IP69K and IK10, operates from -40°C to +85°C, and mounts through an M22 thread. Taoglas publishes a datasheet for the standard MA8007.A.001 model, which documents the full RF performance of this platform.

Ideal for

  • Emergency and first responder vehicle roofs with 5G routers that need cellular, GPS and Wi-Fi from one mount
  • EV charger stations needing cellular backhaul and positioning in a rugged enclosure
  • Smart industry and warehouse gateways mounted on NEMA cabinets
  • Private LTE network endpoints using CBRS Band 48 or other supported spectrum
  • Fleet telematics units with FAKRA Code C GNSS inputs

Questions buyers ask

What connector does the GNSS lead use on RAPX.7.1G4C2W.2M.F20.B?

The GNSS lead terminates in a FAKRA Code C Gen 2 female connector on 2 m of RG-174/TGC-302 cable.

Which 5G bands does the Raptor X cover?

The cellular elements cover 600-6000 MHz, including 5G NR/4G Band 71 (617-698 MHz), Bands 21/32/74/75/76 (1427-1518 MHz) and Bands 22/42/48/77/78/79 (3300-5000 MHz), along with the main LTE bands in between.

Which GNSS constellations are supported?

GPS L1/L5, GLONASS G1, Galileo E1/E5a, BeiDou B1C/B1I/B2a, QZSS L1/L5, IRNSS L5 and SBAS.

Is it suitable for vehicle roofs?

Yes. It is 39 mm tall and 70 mm wide, so it fits under typical roof height limits and between the ribs on many vehicle roofs. It mounts through an M22 thread, and the enclosure is rated IP69K and IK10.

What power does the GNSS LNA need?

The active GNSS element accepts +1.8 to 5.5 V (3.3 V typical) and draws 16.8 mA.
