Overview
The Klein CURL Wired PTT Headset (CURL-SO3-WP) is an official Sonim accessory made by Klein Electronics for the Sonim XP10, XP5plus, XP5s and XP8. It screws into Sonim's SecureAudio Connector and supports push-to-talk and full-duplex use. The earpiece rests on the ear rather than in it and rotates for right- or left-ear wear. A large tactile PTT button works with heavy work gloves. The headset is third-party lab tested to the IP-67 standard and rated for -40°C to +80°C.

The Klein CURL Wired PTT Headset is a push-to-talk and full-duplex wired headset for crews using the Sonim XP10, XP5plus, XP5s and XP8 rugged handsets. Klein Electronics custom designed it to connect to Sonim's SecureAudio Connector. The headset connector screws into the handset, so the audio connection holds on the move and on the job.
The CURL is built for all-day wear. A flexible C-ring earloop wraps the ear, and the speaker rests on the outer ear instead of being inserted. You can rotate the earpiece to wear it on either ear. Because nothing goes in the ear canal, the earpiece can be wiped off and shared between shift workers. The large, easy-to-reach PTT button is tactile and usable with heavy work gloves. A built-in swivel clip holds the 46-inch cable against a uniform.
For audio, the headset uses an in-line, omni-directional, noise-reduction microphone. It has a 50 Hz to 10 kHz frequency range and a signal-to-noise ratio of more than 58 dB. The 16 Ω speaker is rated at 500 mW, with 800 mW maximum input and 105 dB sensitivity.
The CURL is designed and assembled in the USA and uses Kevlar-reinforced cables. It is third-party lab tested to the IP-67 rating standard (Pony Lab certified) and operates from -40°C to +80°C.
