Overview

The Sonim XP5plus is a rugged 4G LTE push-to-talk phone that combines cellular calling with radio-like features. This black configuration has top-mount knobs for volume and channel control, plus an emergency key, so it can be used without looking. It has a large glove-friendly PTT button and 100dB+ dual speakers. Protection includes IP68 and IPX9K ratings, MIL-STD-810H testing and Non-Incendive Class I, II and III Div 2 certification. The removable 3500mAh battery lasts through long shifts.

The Sonim XP5plus is a rugged push-to-talk phone for professionals who need cellular coverage with the reliability of a radio. Typical users are field crews, public safety teams and industrial workers who don't need smartphone extras. This SKU comes in black with top-mount knobs for volume and channel control, alongside an easy-access emergency key, for no-look operation. The large PTT button works with work gloves on, and three dynamic front buttons make the 2.8-inch Gorilla Glass 3 display easier to use.

Sonim builds the XP5plus to its Rugged Performance Standards: - IP68 and IPX9K rated; submersible to 6.5 feet for 30 minutes - Survives 6.5 ft drops onto concrete and up to 4J of impact energy - Withstands up to one metric ton of pressure - Resists petroleum oils and corrosive cleaning agents, and can be disinfected with detergent, bleach and rubbing alcohol - Tested to MIL-STD-810H - Non-Incendive Class I, II and III Div 2 certified - Operates from -4°F to 131°F

Dual front-facing speakers deliver 100dB+ output. Dual microphones with Goodix echo and noise cancellation keep voice clear on loud sites. The SecureAudio Connector locks remote speaker mics and other audio accessories in place. Inside is a Qualcomm SM6115 octa-core chipset running Sonim's OS, which is based on AOSP Android 11. It has 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM and microSD support up to 512GB. Dual nano-SIM slots cover LTE bands including 12, 13, 14, 66 and 71. VoLTE, RTT, Wi-Fi 802.11ac with hotspot support for up to 10 connections, and Bluetooth 5.0 round out connectivity. Sonim SCOUT and Push-to-Talk come preloaded.

The removable 3500mAh battery is rated for 30 hours of talk and 600 hours of standby. Sonim backs the XP5plus with a 3-year warranty and SonimCare support, and offers FirstCare for FirstNet customers. SonimWare tools help teams install and manage the fleet. Sonim publishes datasheets, user guides and brochures for the XP5plus.
